Make Your Own Kimchi, The Vego Way! (Wednesday 23 October 2019, 6pm)
Korean kimchi is loved all around the world for its irresistible fizz, tang and spice. But have you ever thought to make it yourself at home?! Turning an unassuming cabbage into a fermented flavour fest is easier than you might think, and the uses for cooking with kimchi at home are endless.
In this 2 hour hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to make kimchi Grandma Ben’s way - a simplified method using red miso instead of fish sauce, making this delicious fermented condiment both vegetarian and vegan friendly. We’ll then show you how to make your own dumplings with a tasty kimchi filling and spicy chilli jam. You’ll leave wondering why you haven’t been making your own kimchi for years!
