You probably know by now how much we adore pickling and fermenting here at My Grandma Ben. Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own pickles and fermented foods at home, but not too sure how to get started? Well, you’ve come to the right place!
In this 2.5 hour hands-on workshop, you’ll learn all the tips and tricks needed to start pickling and fermenting like a pro from your own kitchen. Pickling and fermenting are great ways to preserve a haul of delicious, seasonal fruit and veg to continue enjoying throughout the year.
From pickling peak season vegetables to maximise flavour to making a classic sauerkraut, you’ll leave this workshop with the confidence to turn anything from your market haul into something remarkable.
What You'll Get:
All the ingredients and equipment you need to complete three recipes in the class (a MGB signature pickle, a mixed vegetable pickle of your choice from seasonal veg, and a classic sauerkraut)
Full recipes and guidelines to take home with you (including canning techniques to make your pickles shelf stable)
A glass of wine and some house-made goodies to snack on during the night
